Your kitchen called… it wants to be cuter. 🍋😄

We just brought in a fresh batch of fruit & veggie-inspired pieces!

Think measuring cups, bowls, butter dishes, jars, vases, and a few other fun little pieces—all dressed up in bright pops of lemon, strawberry, citrus, and garden favorites.

Some are actually useful (like, you’ll use them every day), and some are just here to make you smile every time you walk into the kitchen… and honestly, we’re not mad about either.

Their colorful, a little quirky, and way more fun than anything you’ll find in a big box aisle! 😆

Not just survive. Not just limp along. These actually THRIVE—even at 100°F and beyond!

There’s a big difference between plants that tolerate heat and ones that still look good in August. These Texas natives are built for extreme heat, poor soils, and long dry stretches—and they still perform.

1. Texas Sage (Leucophyllum frutescens)
If North Texas had an official “heat champion,” this would be it. Silver foliage reflects sunlight, thrives in lean soils, and needs very little water once established. Blooms after humidity/rain. If it struggles—it’s usually too much water or not enough sun.

2. Red Yucca (Hesperaloe spp.)
Structure, durability, and evergreen reliability. Holds form year-round with tall flower spikes hummingbirds love. Handles extreme heat and comes in pinks, whites, and yellows. A true backbone plant.

3. Calylophus (Sundrops)
Bright yellow blooms. Low, spreading habit. Thrives along sidewalks and heat-reflective areas. Keeps flowering through summer with zero drama.

4. Zexmenia
Consistent summer color without constant watering. Golden blooms for months. Pollinator favorite and one of our top performers.

5. Blue Grama ‘Blonde Ambition’ (Bouteloua gracilis)
Native grass with “eyelash” seedheads that float above the foliage. Holds structure and visual interest even in extreme heat.

6. Four-Nerve Daisy
Compact, clean, and tough. Bright yellow blooms in intense sun. Semi-evergreen and can bloom nearly year-round.

7. Blackfoot Daisy
Sweet-smelling white blooms all season. Performs best in heat with good drainage. Great for borders and containers.

8. Autumn Sage (Salvia greggii)
Blooms spring through fall. Supports hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. Slows slightly in peak heat but rebounds quickly.

9. Flame Acanthus
Late-season standout. Orange-red blooms explode in mid-to-late summer when everything else fades. Extremely drought tolerant.

These aren’t just “heat tolerant.”
They are:
Adapted to North Texas soils
Built for drought and extreme heat
Able to maintain structure, color, or bloom at peak temps
And maybe most importantly—they don’t require constant intervention. Once established, they need very little care!
