Meet Giant Coneflower — a regionally native standout that brings serious height, structure, and movement to the landscape.

Don't you live those tall, swaying stems topped with bold yellow petals and deep chocolate cones?

✔️ Native to our region
✔️ Thrives in wet soils AND dry conditions once established
✔️ Handles heat, clay, and tough sites without blinking
✔️ Adds instant vertical interest (think 5–7 feet of it)

And the pollinators? They show up in force.
🐝 Native bees absolutely cover it
🦋 Butterflies use it as a reliable nectar source
🐦 Later on, birds will feed on the seed heads

It’s one of those rare plants that hits design, durability, and ecology all at once.

Plant it in groups, give it space as a background planting to rise above your other perennials, and let it do its thing. It doesn’t need babysitting.

Come see this one in person… it’s even better when it’s moving in the wind.

🌱 There’s something about spring… and it’s not just the wildflowers.

Plantwithpatrick says it’s that feeling that maybe—just maybe—things are starting again.

Right now across North Texas, bluebonnets are popping, blanketflowers are lighting up the roadsides, and beneath it all… something bigger is happening. Growth you can’t always see yet.

👉 That growth doesn’t always look like growth
👉 That roots are doing work long before blooms show up
👉 That hope is still there—even if it’s been a long winter

If you’ve needed a reset, this one’s for you.

📖 Read it here: rootedin.com/the-hope-in-spring-why-growth-begins-beneath-the-surface/

And when your garden (or your life) starts blooming again… we want to see it. Tag us. Share it. Let’s celebrate it.

The Hope in Spring: Why Growth Begins Beneath the Surface | Rooted In

There is something about spring that feels different. Not just warmer, not just brighter, but deeply hopeful. It arrives quietly at first. A bud on a branch.
