Not all pollinator plants are wildflowers.

Wildflowers and prairie plants are the backbone of a healthy pollinator garden, but they produce most of their blooms along the ground. Trees take that same concept and expand it into an entire canopy, creating a three-dimensional source of nectar and pollen from the ground all the way up.

These 9 Texas native trees are adapted to North Texas and help support native bees, honeybees, butterflies, hummingbirds, songbirds, and other wildlife.

From early-blooming Mexican Plum and Redbud to summer workhorses like Texas Kidneywood and Desert Willow, these trees help carry pollinators through some of the toughest parts of the year.

We keep all 9 of these species in stock at Rooted In.

Visit rootedin.com/nine-native-trees-for-bees/ for a full breakdown of each tree, the pollinators they support, and why they deserve a place in Texas landscapes.
