Rooted In is feeling grateful in Texas.
A huge thank you to

A huge thank you to all of our fantastic speakers, the dedicated volunteers with Trinity Forks Chapter - Native Plant Society of Texas, Elm Fork Chapter Texas Master Naturalist, Denton County Master Gardener Association, and the incredible ladies representing Monarch Watch! 🌿

Y’all helped make our inaugural Native Plant Celebration something really special!!!

So many people gave up their Saturday to teach, volunteer, answer questions, and encourage others to care more deeply about native plants, pollinators, conservation, and wildlife-friendly gardening. The amount of time and heart these organizations pour into our communities — often quietly and behind the scenes — is honestly incredible. North Texas is better because of the work y’all do every single day.

We also want to thank our employees, who gave everything they had on one of the busiest days in the history of Rooted In. They were on their feet nonstop for nearly 10 hours helping customers, loading plants, answering questions, restocking, cleaning up, and doing whatever needed to be done — all with patience and kindness. And our friends and family that jumped in without pause to lend a hand!! We could not have done this without them. 💚

And finally, thank you to every person who came out to support the event!

Seeing so many people gathered together because they care about native plants, wildlife, ecological stewardship, and environmentally conscious gardening honestly meant a lot to us.

At a time when so much about the future of our open spaces and landscapes can feel uncertain, days like this give us hope. 🦋
From the bottom of our hearts — thank y’all so much!!! This is exactly why we do what we do. :-)

This weekend, we’ve got a great selection of Texas-tough perennials, shrubs, trees, fruit trees, veggies, and shade plants — all built to handle heat, drought, clay, and real North Texas conditions.

Lots of hard-to-find natives and well-adapted favorites in stock right now, plus fresh color, pollinator plants, evergreen structure, edible plants, and tough landscape performers.

This week’s #PlantOfTheWeek is a Texas native perennial that absolutely thrives in extreme heat, drought, and some of the hottest, sunniest, and driest spots in the landscape! ☀️

If you’ve got a brutal southwestern exposure that cooks everything else… this one just keeps blooming.

✔️ Long blooming season
✔️ Sweet-smelling flowers
✔️ Pollinator magnet
✔️ Tough enough for poor soils + reflected heat
✔️ Beautiful as a border plant or spilling from pots and raised beds

One of the toughest little native perennials we grow for North Texas.
