Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, grandmothers, mother-like figures, sisters, friends, wives, and partners out there. The world is better because of the care, patience, strength, and love you pour into the people and lives around you every single day!

Today especially, we want to thank the mothers of our children — the women who believed in Rooted In before it was anything more than an idea scribbled in the back of our minds. Long before the plant-filled benches, gardens, gift shop, and busy weekends, they were helping behind the scenes in countless ways — working long hours, sacrificing Saturdays and Sundays, supporting our families, and helping us build this place from the ground up. Truthfully, Rooted In would not exist without them. They were our first supporters, and they continue to be some of our strongest.

We also want to thank our own mothers, whose love, encouragement, and appreciation helped shape who we are and what Rooted In would eventually become. So much of our passion for plants, beauty, and creating a place like this traces back to them.

And finally, a huge thank you to our employees who are mothers — especially those spending part of their Mother’s Day here with us helping customers, caring for plants, answering questions, and keeping Rooted In running day to day. We’re incredibly grateful for each of you and feel very blessed today to be surrounded by so many strong, caring women who helped make this place possible.

We’ll be open today from 10–5, and we’d love to welcome anyone looking to spend a peaceful day out in the country. No pressure, no need to buy anything — just come enjoy the flowers, gardens, and a little slower pace for the afternoon.

And yes — we’d also like to give a little extra love to the devoted cat moms and dog moms out there too.

Need a last-minute Mother’s Day idea that doesn’t involve fighting crowds in a chain restaurant parking lot? 😅

We put together what might honestly be one of the best local daytrips in North Texas — complete with an interactive map featuring wineries, distilleries, brunch spots, boutique shopping, coffee shops, berry picking, scenic backroads, family-friendly stops, and some seriously incredible local food. PLUS: What mom REALLY wants, is a trip to the nursery so you can buy her PLANTS !!! ;-)

Think:
🌿 Wildflowers and butterflies
🍷 Local wineries and tasting rooms
☕ Cozy coffee shops and brunch cafés
🛍️ Small-town boutiques and shopping
🍓 Strawberry picking and scenic drives
🍔 One of the best burgers in North Texas
🍝 Italian food worth driving for
🍭 Enough sugar to guarantee the ride home is “interesting” for the kids 😂
🌅 Peaceful countryside views and hidden gems

Whether you’re bringing mom, a mom-like figure, your best friend who deserves a relaxing day out, or honestly just escaping for a few peaceful hours because your kids are terrible gift-givers… we mapped out a full day of our favorite stops around Pilot Point, Celina, Aubrey, and Lake Ray Roberts!

And yes… there’s wine, pie, garlic knots, brisket, margaritas, coffee, candy stores, and botanical shopping involved. As nature intended.

Check out the full article + interactive map below and plan your perfect Mother’s Day Sunday roadtrip. 💚
