🌺 This week’s Plant of the Week is an absolute showstopper!

Think dinner-plate-sized blooms, tropical-looking flowers, bold foliage, and enough color to stop people in traffic… but unlike a lot of flashy summer plants, this one actually survives North Texas winters and comes roaring back every year!

Some varieties have deep burgundy foliage, some stay bright green, and the flowers range from soft pinks and whites to electric reds, bicolors, and wild swirls with giant contrasting eyes. Some even have uniquely ruffled or star-shaped blooms!

They LOVE heat.
They LOVE summer.

And they bring an almost unfair amount of color and drama for the price.

Honestly one of the biggest “wow factor per dollar” plants you can grow in North Texas. Many even trace part of their lineage back to North American native species.

Watch this week’s video to see why these are one of the most underrated summer landscape plants around. 👀
