Over the past 2 years, estimates show an increase of 20 million new gardeners in the United States. Building on this trending hobby, local North Texas cities and regional water providers have branched out, providing resources to help set budding gardeners up for success.
In a partnership between Rooted Inโs local plant experts and regional environmental educators across the region (TRWD, NTMWD, UTRWD, Fort Worth, Mansfield, Arlington, Bedford, Lewisville, Southlake, Dallas, McKinney), the โGO n GROWโ boxed gardens offer the best adapted starter plants for the region, paired with professional plant-by-number designs, PLUS an easy-to-follow Planting and Maintenance guide to anchor homeowners in the most sustainable gardening methods.
Gardeners can choose from two different concepts: the โPollinator Packโ or the โShade Gardenโ, each containing 24 starter plants and 3 design options that cover a 125 square foot garden area. Landscape designs and plants can cost hundreds of dollars, but each Go โn Grow box costs only $75.

Gardens that support pollinators are one of the hottest landscape design trends and a great way to help your problem landscape area take flight! With โThe Pollinator Packโ not only will you be giving back to honey bees, native bees and butterflies, but many species also support our favorite hummingbirds as well! The bonus: These easy to grow plants look great, too! Each plant has been thoughtfully selected to fit perfectly into your colorful pre-designed landscape plan with long blooming pollinator-supporting flowers that are Texas tough. PLUS, the garden includes semi-evergreen plant material for year-round interest. Bring your landscape to life with activity with a simple solution that is sure to be the buzz of the neighborhood!

Is your landscape โthrowing shadeโ? This garden just might be the solution to your landscapeโs low light levels! Designed to thrive in areas that receive less than 5 hours of sunlight, our Go n Grow Garden: Shade Box includes shade-loving plants, that in addition to offering a variety of textures, will brighten your shady spots by introducing vibrant colors with their foliage and blooms! With three design options, youโll be able to turn the bare spot in your shady corner, the low light area on the north side of your fence or wall, or the muddy patch under your tree into a garden area that you can be proud of. Cool off and relax in the shade this season and take a break from the Texas sun with your very own Go n Grow Garden: Shade Box!
