Rooted In Seed Starting
January 21 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
FreeStarting plants from seed is not only super fun and deeply satisfying—it’s also a great way to save money!
PLUS, when you master gardening from seed, you’ll have a significantly larger selection of species and cultivars from which to choose.
Learn basic seed starting techniques for both high value vegetables (like tomatoes and peppers!) as well as harder to find (or grow) native plants, and cut flowers. We’ll also dig deeper into seed germination, stratification, managing moisture, heat mats, fertilization, hardening off, and transplanting your starter plants either directly into the ground–or potting up into larger containers.
In this entertaining, hands-on DIY (AND BYOB) class you’ll also receive a FREE seed starting tray (with dome), your choice of one packet of vegetable, native wildflowers, or cut flower seeds– along with potting soil. Then we’ll walk you through the process of actually planting your seeds and teaching you how to keep them growing!
*We will also have a few seed starting heat mats on hand for purchase.
