#🌿 #PlantoftheWeek
This week’s #PlantoftheWeek is a pair of Texas-tough natives that bring spectacular blooms spring, summer, and fall!

☀️ Thrive in full sun to part shade
🐝 A favorite of pollinators and people
💧 Drought tolerant once established
🌱 Handle North Texas clay soils like a champ

These two nativar selections form large mounds of soft, aromatic foliage and pump out waves of flowers spikes for months — the kind of plants that make gardeners look like heroes with very little effort.

Even better? They’re nearly always buzzing with bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects when in bloom. If you’re trying to build a pollinator-friendly garden that can handle Texas heat, this duo is hard to beat.

Want to know what they are? 👀
Watch this week’s video to find out.

Rooted In
We are very sorry to

We are very sorry to our customers but will have to delay opening this morning. Unfortunately, because of the IRONMAN race route, the roads leading to Rooted In are currently completely closed and we are unable to open at this time.

The safety of the cyclists participating in the race, as well as the police officers working traffic control, is extremely important to us. We want to wish all of the athletes a safe race and sincerely appreciate the officers and personnel working to keep everyone safe this morning.

This is also historicly one of our busiest weekends of the year, so situations like this are especially difficult for small, local businesses that rely heavily on weekend traffic this time of year. Our hearts also go out to any other local businesses dealing with similar disruptions today.

We will open as soon as access to the nursery is restored. Our hope is to be open by noon today if conditions allow, and we will update here as soon as we are able.

For transparency, we were assured multiple times by the IRONMAN in Texas organizers, as well as by the Town of Little Elm, Texas - Government and City of Pilot Point , that Pelzel Road would remain open to local traffic and that customers would still be able to reach our business. Unfortunately, that is not what is happening on the ground this morning.

Stay safe and thank you for understanding 🙏
