Reducing Kitchen Waste

Did You Know up to 40 percent of the food produced in the United States is wasted? That’s one pound per person per day! In fact, unused food (after paper and cardboard) is one of the largest constituents of municipal waste. That’s a waste of both our farmers’ hard labor, as well as our country’s natural resources– with uneaten food accounting for 25 percent of all freshwater consumption each year! We won’t just talk trash, but this class will provide all kinds of apeeling tips so we can do better and save money—one kitchen at a time!
