DESCRIPTION:*We are devastated to have to announce that we are canceling the seed swap event scheduled for this Saturday 1/31. \nThe road to the nursery is still covered in ice as are most of the paths at the nursery. We’re hosting a free community Seed Swap on January 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. \nThere will be seeds available for everyone—you do not have to bring seeds to participate (but bringing some to share is totally encouraged) \nExpect a mix of: \n\n\nTexas native wildflowers and grasses \n\n\nHard-to-find and pollinator-friendly ornamentals \n\n\nVegetables and herbs \n\n\nFruits and other edible favorites \n\n\nWe’ll also have expert speakers throughout the day sharing tips on seed saving\, starting seeds in North Texas\, and choosing regionally adapted varieties. 🎤🌱 \n \nA few notes: \n\n\nThe event is completely free and drop-in friendly. \n\n\nPlease no invasive plants – we reserve the right to decline clearly invasive species. \n\n\nIf you bring seeds\, label them clearly with: \n\n\nCommon name (and scientific name if you know it) \n\n\nYear harvested or purchased \n\n\nAny useful notes (color\, height\, flavor\, heirloom/open-pollinated\, etc.) \n\n\n\n\nSmall envelopes\, bags\, or paper packets are ideal for sharing.
